Nail polish & nail art has become an obsession over the past 4 years. This weblog serves as an outlet to share and catalogue this secret obsession anonymously, along with tips & tricks I’ve picked up along the way.
Born and raised in Singapore, most of my time is consumed by work and family/ social obligations. Hence, pardon the irregular and lack of blog posts.
Evolution of an Obsession
Initially, I was toying with the idea of jewellery-making as a hobby and a small business. As I researching online, I came across GingerKittyDesigns who, as far as I know, began the novelty of nail polish jewellery. Some of the nail polish shades intrigued me and I was surprised to learn the collector’s value of some discontinued polishes.
Further exploration swept me into the world of YouTube, where I found that TONS of nail polish addicts exist. Watching some of their ‘Nail Polish Collection’ videos, I began desiring certain polishes and an addiction of my own.
Previously only familiar with commercial brands such as OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Revlon, Twitter interactions and Instagram-browsing have opened my eyes to a variety of international and indie polish brands, most of which develop more creative and spellbinding nail polishes.
