I‘ve been neglecting this blog for a really long time. Extremely tied up with work; early mornings, late nights. And I’ve also been attending a couple of jewellery-making workshops, for fun.

As the title states, this is going to be a super speedy post, just updating my NOTD. This was from the week before last:

China Glaze Below Deck, Essie Mink Muffs Accent

Trying out China Glaze’s Below Deck, and accent nail with Essie’s Mink Muffs, topped with China Glaze’s CG In The City at the tip. Love the greyish colour with a hint of purple.

Last week’s (and current) NOTD:

Skin Food Pedicure Sparkle #9 Sparkling Red

Dusty glittery/ sparkly pink tip by Skin Food, Pedicure Sparkle #9 Sparkling Red (made in Korea). I bought it on a whim last month, and wasn’t sure if I would like this colour/ texture on me. But it was incredibly sparkly, like having pink tin foil on my tips! It is densely filled with ultra reflective micro glitter, nothing like I’ve ever seen in “Made in USA” polish brands (so far). This is the description on Skin Food’s website:

“Glamourous and vibrant, it is enhanced with diamond sparkling pearls to create sparkling finishes with just single applications. Perks up dull toenails with vitamins and keratin for nourishment and moisture. Also prevents colour stains on toenails.”

But I like wearing it on my hands though. I might just go grab a few more other colours from Skin Food (at SGD 7.90 each).

While researching on their polishes, I read that some of their nail polish lines content cancer-causing ingredients. But this Pedicure Sparkle line ain’t one of them (phew). Read more here.

One more for the road:

 Pedicure Sparkle #9 Sparkling Red

The entire nail was then topped with INM’s Out The Door Northern Light Hologram Top Coat (one of my September hauls). I completely understand that the hologram/ sparkles don’t show up well on bare nails, but as a top coat (as it claims to be), it is horrid! After 20mins of drying time, a nail touched a smooth surface by accident, and the top coat, along with the sparkle polish, came off!! Horror!

Had to redo the nail, and top off all my nails off with my trusty Seche Vite. Very disappointing. But will try to use it for its holographic effect on nail colours.

Despite the busy schedule, September has been a month of some major nail polish/art/care hauls. Will compile them all in a future post.

Till then, toodles!Post Signature
